For many of us runners the winter keeps us inside and tethered to the dreadmill, errr, I mean treadmill. Now, I’ll be the first to admit I often go into hibernation mode when the weather gets cold. Then I take at least a few weeks to get my legs. Back under me when the spring comes and I can pound the pavement again. This year I told myself No! Don’t use that as an excuse. Keep going. There’s no point in putting those winter pounds on and not getting your miles in just because you don’t like feeling like a gerbil! And then, there was Zwift Run!

Their interface is incredibly fun and interactive. You get to join in and run virtually with others from around the world!

You sync the footpod as pictured below with your computer via Bluetooth. Then you’re off to the races!

Technical difficulties: There were a few. There were some connectivity issues, though mine were only minimal, some of my fellow BibRavePros had more substantial issues connecting but from what I understood Zwift worked very well with them to resolve their issues. Once everything was up and running, pun intended,

The bottom line is that Zwift is a great motivation to keep moving during these cold months if you’re like me and don’t like layering up to get out on the road.
