Rock ‘n Roll Philadelphia 2018: Part 1

I’m back! The Rock ‘n’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon was the first half marathon I ever ran in 2016. Wow, has a lot changed since! I’ve changed jobs, our family has grown, and now we’re heading back to Center City to kick out the jams!

They’ve totally redone the course this year, but kept it flat and fast! There’s still the trek out along the Schuylkill River, but it’s not bad and certainly not as lonely as it is for other races! Plus, you have local bands along the way keeping things lively!

I love running along downtown with the flags lining the streets and city hall, such a grand site. The history of Philadelphia is amazing.

Am I planning on a PR there? Probably not. My training took a bit of a hit due to some outside stresses but Rock ‘n’ Roll is all about having a great time, enjoying the course and the run! Who knows… Maybe I’ll even take a dance break if someone’s really jamming out!

Haven’t registered yet? You can still register at the expo! That’s at the Philadelphia Convention Center.

Will I see you there? Say hi! I’ll be one of the folks in the BibRave shirt! #orangeisthenewfast
