What I found this most helpful with was for helping my leg muscles recover from my miles or even if I’d been achy from standing all day at work. I could target my gastrocs, quads, and hamstrings quite easily.
As instructed, I found my sore muscle spots, targeted the extensions from the band accordingly and wrapped it up! You want to make sure that the band is wrapped TIGHT. There is such a thing with too tight, but you definitely want it tight enough to dig in and release! Once I was all wrapped up I’d stretch for 90 seconds to 2 minutes and then release the wrap!
I wanted to use it more on my upper arms, but I couldn’t master wrapping with one hand. I did get my wife to wrap me up to work on my deltoids. That felt great after longer miles and that upper body fatigue set in.
Overall, this is a fantastic option when considering ways to recover during marathon/half marathon training, or just for those of us who get out there and knock down the miles and have our bodies talk back to us. If you can wrap yourself up with an ace wrap, you can easily use the CTM Band!
