Detach Coconut + (Prehydrating to the max!)

First off, I have something to admit. I hadn’t been one to really take to coconut water in the past… BUT! Having read about Detach and how they had a citrus flavor to it I was wanting to try this one.

The first sip: Refreshing. It still tasted like coconut water and had a very slight aftertaste. The lemon-lime flavoring of the Ellie-Ade was great and kept it crisp and fresh. So it was definitely palatable. If you’re a nut for coconut water, you would probably like this even more!

I used this as a before and after workout drink as a bit of a boost and attempt to keep hydrated. I had been using plain ole water recently so I was excited to put Detach Coconut + head to head with H2O!

I drank a bottle of detach about 30 minutes before my run. I could definitely feel a bit of a pep in my step! I was ready to go. In these cold months I’ve been sticking to the treadmill. On I hopped. My trial runs were 5Ks to keep this pseudoscientific “study” fairly honest. When I’d push it at the end for the last half mile I’d really get my lungs burning and push myself to the max, dropping with sweat…. So I was ready for something to slam down. Detach to the rescue!

It went down smooth and really hit the spot! And as all of us runners are always concerned with – NO GI issues! 🙌

I thoroughly enjoyed trying out Detach Coconut+ and would recommend anyone who’s wanting to improve their workouts to give it a try!
