Make it a Hat Trick at the DMSE Classic 2017!

So first let me say that – Disclaimer: I received a free entry to the DMSE Classic race as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews! However, all views and opinions are my own!

Now then.

I’m really excited to have this be my first race as being a BibRave Pro!  Why? Because Boston – that’s why!  Ok, well there’s more specifics that I’ll get into in just a bit, but yes, the DMSE Classic is held in Andover, MA about a half hour north west of Boston!  And as a summer race (July 22-23rd) in New England – I might avoid some wicked heat!  As everyone (who knows running) knows Boston is home to one of the most popular, if not THE most popular, marathons in the world!  My wife ran that race in 2016 and when I accompanied her there I was sold!  From the expo to the city streets it was the most incredible environment I’d ever been in.  I was hooked!  Now here I am, a little over a year later training for my second season of running and racing!

Not only is the DMSE Classic a part of the Boston culture, it’s quite the race itself!  It features a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, and a celebrity mile run!  The coolest part is that they have a couple of ways to make combos of the runs.

Are you wanting a bit more of a challenge but not quite ready to take on a Half Marathon?  No worries, they’ve got you!  Do the Five & Dime!!  You can register for the 5k and 10k for a nice 15k race (with a bit of a break in between).  Not only will you get the medals for the 5k and 10k, but you’ll get a special finisher medal for the Five & Dime!  Two races, three medals!! How can you go wrong?!?

Ok, Ok… so, you’re wanting more of a challenge?  You scoff at a Half Marathon and want to up the ante?  The DMSE has something for you too oh honorable weekend warrior you!  Hat Tricks aren’t just for the Bruins anymore!  Now they’re for you too! Run #ALLTHERACES!!!  You’ve got the 5k!  The 10k! …and yes, THE HALF MARATHON TOO!  Run them all and complete the coveted Hat Trick!  For this, not only are you awarded a medal for the 5k, the 10k, *and* the Half Marathon… oh no.  You are awarded one for the 5k, the 10k, the Five & Dime finisher, the Half Marathon, and the HAT TRICK finisher!  That’s right, because dog-gone-it, you earned it!  That’s right, THREE RACES and FIVE MEDALS!  Phew………  Now that’s a lot of bling.

The DMSE Classic has a race for everyone.  If you’ve been working up to your first 5k, come on out and show us what you’ve got!  Have you conquered the 5k and ready to kick it up a notch? The 10k is for you!  Are you ready for a bit more but not quite ready to tackle a Half Marathon?  Do the Five & Dime, Bingo!  Are you ready for your first Half Marathon, or looking for a scenic summer Half – BOOM! Right here.  Or, are you just wanting to smash them all and take home all the spoils?  Do the Hat Trick for infinite bragging rights!

The DMSE Classic starts and stops at the scenic Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.  As races go, the charitable nature of the DMSE Classic and other DMSE races/endeavors are top notch with contributions going to Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, Lazarus House just to name a few!
